Most of the time this is fixable in seconds — and if it isn’t, it’s covered.
Step 1: rule out buildup
Lotion, perfume, sunscreen, and natural skin oils can leave a film that looks like discoloration. Wipe the piece with a soft, dry or barely-damp cloth first. Very often the original tone comes right back.
Step 2: if the color has genuinely changed
If a clean wipe doesn’t fix it and the gold tone has actually worn or changed, email us at [email protected] with:
- your order number, and
- a photo of the piece.
Stylr pieces carry a 1-year warranty against color change, and a real person replies within one business day. We’ll make it right — see Stylr’s warranty, explained for exactly what’s covered.
The honest context
PVD plating is built to last and resists everyday wear far better than ordinary plating. Over a long enough time, any plated finish can show wear — that’s why the warranty exists, and why we never claim a piece is solid gold. Keeping up the simple routine in Caring for your Stylr jewelry is the best way to keep the color looking new.
