A declined payment is frustrating, but it’s almost always something quick to fix — and it comes from your bank or card provider, not from Stylr.

Common reasons and fixes

  • Billing address mismatch — the billing address must match what’s on file with your card. This is the #1 cause.
  • A typo — re-enter the card number, expiry, and security code carefully.
  • Available funds or limits — confirm the card has room and isn’t expired.
  • A fraud-prevention hold — banks sometimes pause an unfamiliar online charge. A quick call to your bank usually clears it.

If it still won’t go through

  • Try a different card or an express checkout option.
  • Contact your bank — they can see the exact reason for the decline.
  • Reach us at [email protected] and we’ll help where we can (note: we can’t see your bank’s decline reason).

Good to know: a decline sometimes leaves a temporary authorization hold that your bank releases on its own in a few days — it isn’t a charge.
