We’ll always be straight with you: Stylr is not solid gold. Each piece is 18k gold PVD plating over a 316L surgical stainless steel core.
What that means in practice:
- The gold tone is a true 18k color, applied by PVD — a process that bonds the finish to the steel, so it lasts far longer than ordinary gold plating or vermeil.
- The core is surgical stainless steel, which is why pieces are waterproof, tarnish-resistant, and hypoallergenic — and priced far below solid gold.
- It is not solid 14k/18k gold, and we never imply that it is.
