Ways to estimate without tipping them off
- Borrow a ring they already wear on the intended finger while they’re not around, measure its inside diameter in millimeters, and match it to our ring size chart. This is the most reliable option when you can pull it off.
- Ask someone close to them — a sibling, roommate, or close friend — who might already know their size or can find out casually without giving anything away.
If you truly have nothing to go on
Make your best call rather than not gifting the piece at all. A ring that’s slightly off isn’t a failed gift — it’s a size exchange away from being right.
Why guessing wrong isn’t a big deal

One thing to know if you’re adding engraving
If you’re planning to personalize the ring for the occasion, keep in mind that engraved or personalized pieces are made to order and are final sale — they can’t be exchanged for a different size once the engraving is added. If you’re not confident in the guess, it’s safer to order the plain version, confirm the fit works, and add personalization on a future order, or simply make your best guess on an un-engraved piece so a swap stays possible either way.
